THE TOWN OF PINCHER RECEIVES $463 000 TO ENHANCE THE SWIMMING POOL IN CELEBRATION OF CANADA’S 150TH BIRTHDAY
January 19, 2017 – Town of Pincher Creek, Alberta
The Town of Pincher Creek is one of ten communities in Southern Alberta to receive funding through the Government of Canada’s Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program.   The Town of Pincher Creek will receive federal funding in the amount of $463 000 to enhance the Pincher Creek Multi-Purpose Facility though the addition of a spray park pad, water re-circulation system, waterslide and landscaping.  The facility enhancement will be installed to the north of the multi-purpose facility.
The Town of Pincher Creek has budgeted up to one million dollars for this project including the grant, with an additional contingency for spray park donations. 
The Town of Pincher Creek is aiming to have the spray park ready for operation in celebration of Canada’s 150th Birthday on July 1st, 2017 and the remainder to be complete by December 31, 2017.
Conceptual drawings of the waterslide and spray park are included below.  Please note at this time all below drawings are draft concepts.
