Canada Post may be facing a strike in the coming weeks, which could impact mail delivery across the country — including right here in Pincher Creek.

Here’s what that means for you:

  • Property taxes are still due June 30. If you normally mail your payment, please plan ahead and use another method (in person, drop box, online banking, or through your financial institution). Late payments will still be subject to penalty.
  • Haven’t received your tax notice? We can email you a copy! Just give us a call.
  • Cheques issued by the Town for in-town recipients will be held at the Town Office for pickup during regular business hours.
  • For out-of-town recipients, alternative arrangements will be made on a case-by-case basis.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. Please plan accordingly to avoid any inconveniences. Questions? Call us at 403-627-3156.

Pincher Creek, AB – April 22, 2025 – The Town of Pincher Creek is pleased to share highlights from its 2024 audited financial statements, which show positive progress in several key areas and continued financial responsibility. The Town received a clean audit for 2024, meaning our financial statements are accurate and in line with Canadian Public Sector standards. The audit was conducted by KPMG LLP, an independent accounting firm, as required by Alberta’s Municipal Government Act. The draft financial statements were presented to Town Council at the April 2, 2025 Committee of the Whole meeting.
