Community Safety

Pincher Creek is policed by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and our citizens feel protected and secure in a community with a low crime rate and high quality of life. The Town employs one full time Community Peace Officer and one part time Community Bylaw Officer, who enforce the Town's bylaws and certain provincial statutes.

In a country internationally recognized for it’s low crime rate, Alberta takes pride in having the lowest crime rate in Canada. Overall, Canada's crime rate has been decreasing for the past decade, as has our violent-crime rate, according to Statistics Canada.

Town to discontinue Bus Service
May 17, 2019
At its May 13th meeting, Council for the Town of Pincher Creek approved the recommendation from the Transportation Committee to discontinue the scheduled bus service effective May 31st.
