Open with restrictions, Monday February 8
Pincher Creek Memorial Community Centre Skating Arena 
- Open for one on one supervised training (by a certified coach), K-12 schools and post-secondary institutions for curriculum-related educational activities
- No sports games, competitions, team practice, league play or group exercise of any kind is allowed.
- Only one-on-one or one-on-one household supervised training (by a certified coach) is permitted* 
- Sessions have to be scheduled. No drop-in or groups allowed.
*additional restrictions apply 

*Additional restrictions for skating arena training: 

-One-on-one sessions cannot interact with others and there must be a minimum of 3 metres distance between pairs of trainers and clients (aka sessions) in the same facility.
-Trainers must be professional, certified and/or paid trainers who are providing active instruction and correction. Passive supervision of a physical activity is not considered training.
-Trainers must remain masked during the session. Clients are not required to wear a mask while doing high intensity exercise.
-Wherever possible, maintain:
2 metres physical distance between trainers and clients for low intensity training
3 metres physical distance between trainers and clients for high intensity training
-More than one trainer and client ‘pair’ are allowed into the rink with restrictions:
Each trainer and client pair must stay 3 metres away from all other trainers and clients at all times, including in entryways and exits.
Each trainer can only interact with their assigned client, and each client can only interact with their assigned trainer.
- No interaction between clients or between trainers is allowed.
- No ‘cycling through’ multiple trainers as in circuit training.

Memorial Community Centre Arena 

The Memorial Community Centre Arena was opened in 1963 and renovated in 1974 to host events for the Canada Winter Games. The winter arena season typically runs from October 1 to March 31, and offers a wide variety of tournaments, games, drop-in opportunities and special events.

Out of Town Tournaments (Winter Rentals)

We have a fabulous facility and are happy to host out of town tournaments. Our community has partnered together to create some hockey specific deals and discounts to encourage you to come experience to the famous southern Alberta hospitality that the Town of Pincher Creek offers. At the Monday, June 28 Council meeting Council for the Town of Pincher Creek unanimously passed three readings of the Obsolete and Redundant Repeal Bylaw No. 1628-21 for the purpose to repeal the Temporary Mandatory Face Coverings Bylaw, Bylaw No. 1628-20.
