Ornamental Parks

Through the hard work of dedicated volunteers, ornamental gardening projects can be enjoyed throughout the town, beautifying our surroundings and natural landscape.

• More than 65 flower beds have been developed since 1996
• 300 trees and shrubs have been planted by volunteers
• 47 hanging baskets grace downtown lamp posts
• The Town of Pincher Creek and the “Pincher Planters” gardening group have been featured in Western Canadian garden magazines
• A newly planted addition to Lebel Mansion is the beautiful "rose garden"

Tennis Courts

Robertson Avenue (Behind the Multi-Purpose Facility)

The Town of Pincher Creek owns and operates an excellent outdoor tennis court for community members.

Tennis Court Features

• 2 newly surfaced asphalt courts
• Courts are available for use at no charge to residents
• Key to access the courts can be picked up from the Swimming Pool or the Town Office
• Rackets and balls available for rent for a nominal fee at the swmming pool

Track and Field

863 Wilderness Avenue (West of St. Michael's School)

This versatile outdoor facility accommodates everyone from joggers to soccer players, and is the site of many tournaments, track meets and competitions.

Track and Field Facility Features

• 400 meter asphalt track designed for training and track meets
• High jump pad
• Long jump pit
• Sports field located inside of the track is designed for use by Minor Soccer Leagues
• Casual users are welcome at anytime to run, bike or rollerblade
• Site of the 2004 Southern Alberta Summer Games

Adopt-A-Trail

The Town of Pincher Creek has implemented an Adopt-A-Trail program to maintain our beautiful trail system. If you or a group you belong to would like to help maintain the trail by picking up garbage, removing dead broken branches, or by watching for vandalism and maintenance concerns, please fill out the form below and submit it to the Recreation and Community Services department.
