Bid Opportunities

The Town of Pincher Creek uses a variety of methods for procurement including Request for Proposals, Request for Quotations, Tenders etc. Projects meeting certain thresholds outlined by the Canadian Free Trade Agreement and New West Partnership Trade Agreement will have notices published on the Alberta Purchasing Connection.

While larger scale bidding opportunities are available for public bidding, it is the Town’s right to hold invitation only bids or direct award smaller value projects.

Each bidding information document will outline the appropriate person to contact regarding the RFP, RFQ, or Tender. Bidders should refrain from contacting other employees, agents or members of Council of Pincher Creek in respect of the bidding process, including for the purposes of lobbying or attempting to influence the outcome. Any such contact may result in disqualification.

Expression of Interest - MCC Arena Concession 2026-2029 Seasons

The Town of Pincher Creek is currently accepting proposals for a business or individual to operate the MCC arena concession for the 2026-2029 season(s), with an option to renew for an additional 3 years.  
 
The successful operator will have the following at a minimum:
The following equipment is provided by the Town of Pincher Creek for use by the operator: Stand-up Freezer, Chest Deep Freezer, Deep Fryer, Griddle, Natural Gas Burners, Microwave, Toaster, Roller Grill, Stand-up Fridge/Freezer Combo, Pop Fridge, Coffee Maker, Hot Chocolate/Cappuccino Machine.   
 
The MCC Arena Concession is permitted as an Intermediate food handling concession - meaning food handling that is limited to cooking for single service, up to 2 levels of temperature change (i.e. cold to hot, then kept hot), the menu is limited, there is little direct hand contact from handlers.
The arena season runs from October 1st to April 1st, and the operator is expected to have the concession open during Minor Hockey tournaments and other games/special events upon mutual agreement with the requesting party.  Arena access hours and the concession operator’s hours of operation are flexible and will be determined between the Town of Pincher Creek and the Operator.  
 
In accordance with Town of Pincher Creek initiatives, the Operator will make Healthy Eating options available as part of their menu.
