Request for Proposals

The Town of Pincher Creek uses a variety of methods for procurement including Request for Proposals, Request for Quotations, Tenders etc. Projects meeting certain thresholds outlined by the Canadian Free Trade Agreement and New West Partnership Trade Agreement will have notices published on the Alberta Purchasing Connection.

While larger scale bidding opportunities are available for public bidding, it is the Town’s right to hold invitation only bids or direct award smaller value projects.

Each bidding information document will outline the appropriate person to contact regarding the RFP, RFQ, or Tender. Bidders should refrain from contacting other employees, agents or members of Council of Pincher Creek in respect of the bidding process, including for the purposes of lobbying or attempting to influence the outcome. Any such contact may result in disqualification.

Application for Grazing of Lands

The Town of Pincher Creek is accepting applications for two separate leases of land for grazing of the following lands:

For a three-year term for the months of May through October annually.

Sealed applications clearly marked “Application for Grazing of Lands” on the envelope will be received at the Town Office until 10:00 am on December 4, 2024.  Further information and copies of the proposed contract can be obtained at the Town Office during regular business hours. 



The Town of Pincher Creek reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications and to waive any irregularities and informalities at its discretion. The Town of Pincher Creek reserves the right to accept an application other than the highest application without stating reasons. By the act of submitting its application, the Bidder waives any right to contest in any legal proceeding or action the right of the Town of Pincher Creek to award the Land Lease to whomever it chooses, in its sole and unfettered discretion, and for whatever reasons the Town of Pincher Creek deems appropriate. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Town of Pincher Creek may consider any factor besides price and capability to perform the work that it deems in its sole discretion to be relevant to its decision, including but not limited to the following:

  1. Any past experience with the Bidder, or lack thereof;
  2. The results of any reference check done by the Town of Pincher Creek;
  3. Information relating to the financial state of the Bidder, however obtained.

The Town shall not be responsible for any verbal communication between any employee of the Town and any potential firm. Only written requirements and qualifications will be considered.
