Chinook Intermunicipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board

The Town of Pincher Creek is a proud member of the Chinook Intermunicipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB). Established under Bylaw No. 1544-19, and in accordance with the Municipal Government Act, this Board provides an impartial process for hearing appeals related to subdivision and development decisions.

By joining with neighbouring municipalities, Pincher Creek gains access to a broader pool of qualified members and resources, ensuring fairness, consistency, and efficiency in the appeal process. This intermunicipal approach strengthens local decision-making while aligning with statutory plans, the Municipal Government Act, and regional priorities under the South Saskatchewan Regional Plan.

This decision reflects the Town’s commitment to transparency and good governance, ensuring that residents and developers alike can rely on a fair, knowledgeable, and regionally supported appeal process.
