Casual Maintenance 4 (Arena Attendant)

The Town of Pincher Creek is seeking energetic, qualified, and self-directed individuals to join our team as Casual Maintenance 4 (Arena Attendant). Reporting to the Multi-Purpose Facility (MPF) Coordinator, the Arena Attendant is responsible for delivering a safe, clean, and welcoming environment to ensure a positive experience for all Arena patrons. The role involves the operation, maintenance, and general upkeep of the Town of Pincher Creek’s arena facility, including support for various recreation and public works operations as needed.

This position requires the ability to work a rotational shift schedule during the Arena's regular winter season hours. The successful candidate must be prepared to work independently and as part of a team, supporting other Public Works or Recreation Facility functions as assigned. Performance is monitored by the MPF Coordinator and the Manager of Recreation Services to ensure quality standards and service levels are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Assist with maintenance of Multi-Purpose Facilities, recreation and public works
  • Assist with shutdown and start-up of arena and aquatics
  • Cleaning of facilities including bathrooms, changerooms and public areas
  • Assist with arena operations
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 18 years of age and Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Arena Operator, Park & Sports Field Operator, Swimming Pool Operator, First Aid and WHMIS Training Certificates would be an asset
  • Knowledge of the recreation industry, experience in municipal recreation facilities, a landscaping background and swimming pool operations is desirable
  • Must be reliable and possess a strong work ethic, establish and maintain and effective, cooperative, and productive working relationship with other employees and the public.
Probation Rate: $24.81/hr Job Rate: $27.06/hr in accordance with CUPE Local 927 Agreement
