PROPOSED MUNCIPAL RESERVE DISPOAL

PURPOSE: An application has been made to Town Council  to dispose of Municipal Reserve (MR) land for a parcel legally described as Lot 7MR, Block 3, Plan 8211483. The proposal is to facilitate the Inspiration Area Structure Plan Bylaw 1638-25 and enable a small 0.27 ha portion to be consolidated with Lot E, Block E, Plan 3818GB, while 1.49 ha will remain as an MR designation to the Town. This will be facilitated through the subdivision process. Overall, there will be no loss of MR land to the community as additional lands will be dedicated to MR as part of the future subdivision of Inspiration ASP land.
 
LOCATION: Legally described as Lot 7MR, Block 3, Plan 8211483.
 
A public hearing is to be held before Council on January 12, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. as the municipality must provide for its consideration at a public hearing.

How to Attend the Public Hearing

A public hearing to consider the proposed disposal will be held in person in Council Chambers at the Town office 6:00 p.m. on January 12, 2026. 
If you would like to speak at the public hearing or listen in, please contact the Town at reception@pinchercreek.ca by 4:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
Anyone wishing to participate in the public hearing by electronic means is required to register in advance on or before 4:00 p.m., January 6, 2026.


PROPOSED BYLAW NO. 1639-25-A & 1639-25-B - Land Use Redesignating Amending Bylaws

Council of the Town of Pincher Creek has been requested to amend Land Use Bylaw No. 1639-25, and redesignate portions of lands, generally located south of Tumbleweed Ave and north of the Pincher Creek, in accordance with the Inspiration Area Structure Plan (Bylaw No. 1638-25). As illustrated on the attached map, Bylaw 1639-25-A is to designate land for residential, multi-unit residential, and parks and open space as municipal reserve and environmental reserve lands. Bylaw 1639-25-B is to designate to Direct Control to provide a means whereby Council may regulate development with the regulations as outlined in Schedule B of the amending bylaw.
The lands are legally described as: Portion of Plan Pincher Creek 3818GB Block “E”; Section 22-6-30-W4M that portion of the east half which lies north of Pincher Creek as shown on the Township Plan approved at Ottawa 29 September 1887; and, Plan 8211483, Bock 3, Lot 7MR.
 
A public hearing is to be held before Council on January 12, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. as the municipality must provide for both Bylaw’s consideration at a public hearing. A copy of each of the proposed complete bylaws may be inspected at the Town of Pincher Creek office during normal business hours.
