Event Description :
Today, we recognize and celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day — a time to honour the histories, cultures, languages, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada. As neighbours to the Piikani Nation and part of the traditional territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy, we acknowledge the deep connections Indigenous peoples have to this land and the important relationships that continue to shape our region. We encourage residents to take time today to learn, reflect, and celebrate Indigenous cultures and traditions.
