Fire Restriction in Place

Current Status: Active

Jul 8, 2024

Due to the recent dry conditions and the forecast for hot, dry conditions, the Town of Pincher Creek, the MD of Pincher Creek, and the Piikani First Nation have moved to a Fire Restriction.

Under the Restriction all burn permits/Notifications to Burn are now cancelled and no new permits/Notifications to Burn will be issued. Fire pit permits are still active.

We ask people to take extra caution when using fire outdoors as the ground cover is very dry. We also remind residents that fireworks are prohibited within the Town of Pincher Creek and the MD of Pincher Creek.

Permited:

Approved fire pits, propane BBQ's, pellet smokers, and propane powered appliances are still approved for use.

Restricted:

All debris burns, fireworks and non-permitted fires are not allowed under this restriction.
